Mitch’s transformative journey began in high school when he discovered his natural ability for sales while selling coupon cards door to door for a fundraising initiative. This initial experience ignited his passion for connecting with people and paved the way for his future career.
After completing a 2-year church service mission, Mitch enrolled at BYU, where he met his future wife, Amelia. Despite excelling in his studies, he remained uncertain about his career path. He recalls, “I knew I wanted to be a business owner someday, but I didn’t know where to start. My plan was to fast-track my undergrad then pursue an MBA.”
However, during his sophomore year, a friend presented Mitch with an unconventional opportunity – an internship selling pest control in California. He decided to take a leap of faith which altered the trajectory of his life. His innate talent for sales flourished, setting the stage for a lifelong career.
For the subsequent five summers, Mitch used his abilities to lead and mentor teams of first-year interns. Beyond personal achievements, he gained a profound understanding of the sales process and honed his training skills. During his final year as a team leader, he trained and guided a group of interns who collectively generated revenue surpassing the value of 3.8 million dollars in a mere four months.
Mitch’s journey culminated in his current role as Mint Marketing’s President of Sales. In this capacity, he not only imparts his sales wisdom but also supports interns, drawing from his rich background in sales leadership. Mitch’s narrative underscores the significance of embracing unconventional paths, seizing opportunities, and leveraging training to develop strengths to craft a purposeful and impactful career journey.
